Iberian Lynx Conservation

Sierra de Andújar is one of only two refuges for the elusive and critically endangered Iberian lynx, an iconic species on a global scale, whose population has around 280 adults (2018). The Iberian lynx is under enormous threat from extinction from a variety of reasons including, forest fires, depleted rabbit populations, invention, global warming, interference by man and the withdrawal of EU funding in 2017 have all taken and continue to take their toll.

Maximum Number of Places

All Iberian Lynx Photo Tours are strictly limited to just three (3) participants plus Geoff your guide who will join you on day's one and four only. A photo opportunity designed for experienced wildlife photographers who want to secure a series of fabulous images of the exclusive feline.

Gear Recommendations

Digital Camera (DSLR) with a lens in the range of 150-500mm is ideal. My personal preference is to use a 100-400mm zoom lens. A beanbag is also very using when working from a fixed position from a hide.
